LAHORE: Shahbaz Sharif wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan and sent three names for the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner.
Shahbaz Sharif for appointment of chief election commissioner sent a letter to PM Imran Khan and proposed the names of Nasir Mehmood Khosa, Jalil Abbas Jilani and Akhlaq Ahmad Tarard to the Prime Minister. In his letter he said that in my opinion these prominent personalities are very fit and qualified for this position. Hopefully you will be able to qualify them.
The letter further stated that Article 213 TOA requires that the Prime Minister consult the Opposition Leader, under the Constitution you should have initiated this consultation process long ago, advising the Election Commission to avoid being inactive.
