OIC urges India to restore special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir |

In the 74th UN session, the ministerial meeting reaffirmed the OIC position and resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir and expressed deep concern over the worsening human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir as a result of India s 5th August action.

In the meeting of OIC it was also reaffirmed that what India has done is totally against the international law as well as the UN Security Council resolutions. It was also Affirmed that India’s own law does not permit to do this.

It was also demanded from the Indian government to remove the heavy army deployment in the villages, cities and towns of Indian occupied Kashmir.

It was also stated that Indian government’s aim is to change the demographic position of the Kashmir and to change it into Hindu majority state instead of already existing Muslim majority state.

OIC Strongly condemned the arrests of Citizens of Kashmir and their deployment into the jails of Kashmir, where thousands of Kashmiri has already been arrested from their homes in front of their families and their is still no news about them.

It was also communicated in the OIC meeting that Kashmir is a core and single issue between pakistan and India and which is still disputed from the time of partition of subcontinent. This issue has disturbed the whole world and peace of the world is at stake which is now the responsibility of the UN to resolve on the basis of their resolutions already passed.
