According to a report by the Indian news agency The Wire, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India has been accused of taking money from famed gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s colleague.
The filings show that a company called RKW Developers gave money to the BJP. RKW is the focus of an investigation into buying and selling properties in India from the late Iqbal Memon alias Iqbal Mirchi.
Memon is a wanted person in India and a close associate of Mafia boss Dawood Ibrahim. And he is involved in a suspicious transaction. In 2014-15, RKW provided 100 million INR to the BJP through another firm.
