Biography of Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan
Initial Life
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan was born on 11th January 1970, in city Sialkot of Pakistan. She married to a well known businessman Malik Amjad Awan and she is a mother of two children.
About Education
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan joined Fatima Jinnah Medical University for her medical degree, MBBS. She joined Sir Ganga Ram Hospital as he first career job. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan was very keen for Society health and that;s why she joined Health & Development Exchange (SHADE) in the year 1990s for society health assistance.
Politics as a Career
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan joined politics in the year 1990. She then was running Society for Health and Development and Exchange. In the year 2002 she contested election for national assembly and elected as member of National Assembly on the basis of reserved seat. She contested this election as a part of PML (Q) ticket.
She joined Pakistan Peoples Party in 2008. Where she then became member of national assembly. Firdous Ashiq Awan was then given the responsibility as Minister for Population welfare. Dr Awan then Afterwards provided the responsibility of Information ministry.
Dr Firdous then left out PPP as vice president-ship in the 2015. In 2017, she joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
In 2018 Pakistani general election Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan did not win her seat on PTI ticket.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan was then given the responsibility as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Information and Broadcasting.
